How to read this dashboard

Each period tab is split into AI and Non-AI. AI is further broken into stack layers — Compute (semis, memory, test), Networking (optical / photonics), Power (energy for datacenters), Cloud / Infra (services). Non-AI splits into Biotech / Health, Space & Defense, and Other. The Master # column preserves each name's rank in the overall top-N leaderboard so you can see, at a glance, whether AI is dominating the tape (it is).

Freshness note. The 1Y source page states its as-of date as 2026-06-02, which is 38 days from T = 2026-07-10 — just outside the spec's 30-day tolerance. It was retained as the freshest reachable 1Y leaderboard. Also see the * on SNDK and WDC — the SanDisk spin from WDC in 2025 makes those specific 1Y prints unreliable without a split-adjusted rerun via build_dashboard.py.

Methodology & data sources

Universe. Current Russell 3000 constituents (~3,000 US-listed common stocks). A Russell-3000 proxy filter was applied to each Tier B source's top 20/30: keep US-domiciled common equity with market cap ≥ ~$150M; drop leveraged ETFs and non-US-domiciled ADRs. See data_manifest.csv for every excluded row and its reason.

Return definitions. 3M = P(T)/P(T-63)-1; 6M = P(T)/P(T-126)-1; 1Y = P(T)/P(T-252)-1. Trading-day math. Tier B sources compute their own %; where the source is the raw close, corporate actions (spins, splits) may not be adjusted — see the SNDK/WDC asterisks on the 1Y tab.

Domain classification. AI vs non-AI is a manual analytical judgment, not a taxonomy from the source pages. Within AI, Compute covers semis / memory / semi capex / materials / test; Networking covers optical interconnect, photonics, high-speed connectivity ICs, and datacenter/network test; Power covers energy infrastructure whose current re-rating is driven by AI datacenter demand narratives; Cloud / Infra covers hyperscaler-adjacent services and GPU cloud. Some placements are debatable (T1 Energy's solar is only softly "AI power"; Ondas straddles space/defense/private-comms) — see data_manifest.csv for per-ticker domain codes and dispute freely.

Source as-of: 2026-06-02
Note: Page-stated as-of date is 2026-06-02, which is 38 days from T (outside spec's 30-day tolerance). Retained as the freshest reachable 1Y leaderboard; caveat surfaced in the HTML methodology footer.

The AI-tape read

  • 3M: 9 of 20 names are AI — Compute + Networking dominate; Power hasn't shown up yet at this window. Biotech/health accounts for the bulk of the non-AI print.
  • 6M: 9 of 17 names are AI — Compute widens its share, RXT enters as the sole AI-Infra name (its rerate is single-name, not a category signal yet).
  • 1Y: 13 of 16 names are AI — this is where Power shows up meaningfully (BW, BE, NUAI, TE). The "power for AI" narrative is a 1Y story, not (yet) a 3M story — a useful signal about which trades are late-cycle vs early-cycle.

Known data-quality caveats

  • SNDK / WDC on the 1Y tab (marked with *). Western Digital spun off SanDisk in 2025. SNDK's stated +4,454% is not a true trailing-252-tday return — it can't be, since SNDK didn't exist as an independently listed security a year ago. WDC's +992% likely double-counts the value delivered via the spin distribution. A proper total-return recalculation would drop WDC's 1Y meaningfully and remove SNDK from the 1Y board entirely (SNDK's 3M/6M prints are fine — those windows sit entirely post-spin). Rerun via build_dashboard.py, which uses auto_adjust=True and handles the spin correctly.
  • 1Y source freshness. stockanalysis.com's 1Y leaderboard is stated as-of 2026-06-02 — 38 days from T, outside the spec's 30-day tolerance. Retained because it was the freshest reachable in-sandbox, but the true T-current 1Y print for each name has shifted since. Fresh Tier A pull recommended.
  • Tier B start/end prices not exposed. None of the three Tier B pages published start and end prices — only the % return. The manifest records n/a — source exposed % only rather than fabricating derived prices.
  • Independent cross-check limited. The sandbox couldn't reach a second real-time quote source. Cross-checks in the footer only compare within-source consistency across periods.
